Security surveillance systems now come in many forms and shapes with standard ones becoming cheaper by the year. These dummy dome or traditional bare systems come with batteries that provides power to the LED power indicator, the very give away of function. They should however be installed in conjunction to the real thing to confuse people as to the real nature of the devices. Cabling and other support systems should also be put in place to make them look more realistic. You should also try to get decals that warns of such installations making them more effective dissuading people from doing nasty stuff, with seemingly real eyes over the whole place.
