Size Matters

Another aspect to mull over before getting a dog is its size, intelligence and exercise needs of the breed you want. Will you want a dog that needs lots of attention and exercise and can you devote time to it? How much space will your dog require? Is it a breed that is gentle with children? In your absence, will it bark continuously and eventually disturb your neighbor? Do you want an intelligent dog? Are you prepared for it? Surveys have shown that bright breeds of dogs get bored and frustrated faster if they are not constantly engaged in challenging plays. They will most likely tear your bed or sofa or shoes to shreds if they lack something engaging to do.
